Devil’s Den Self Guided Trail and Waterfalls

Devils Den Self-Guided Trail at Devils Den State Park

My family and I hiked the Self-Guided Trail at Devil’s Den State Park back in March of 2010. It was a gorgeous Spring day that just begged us to come out and play. This 1 1/2 mile loop trail at Devil’s Den is a perfect family friendly trail and great for hikers of any experience! There’s lots to see…waterfalls, caves, unique and huge rock formations, bluffs, etc.

My oldest son was 2 at the time and my husband backpacked him with no trouble at all. He’s now 5 and i’m totally confident that when we go back now, he would do great! At the time my stepson was 12 and for him it was a piece of cake.

The waterfall you’ll see is Twin Falls and it’s really just a wet-weather fall, so if your a waterfall hunter like I am you may want to wait ’till after a pretty good rain so it’s running. When we went it had enough water to make it interesting. It was still pretty, but it wasn’t the full waterfall I was hoping for.
